iBasso CB19 Y Cable with USB C to C for Dongles and USB A for Power
Wednesday 22 January, 2025
Great little cable. Works with HIBY M300 and Shanling M0 pro but doesn't work with Shanling M1s. Used it with Cayin Ru7 and questyle m15i DACs. Overall a fair improvement with dynamics and staging and my Duracell power bank gave the best sound from a choice of many. If you use a dap as transport and a separate dongle Dac then it's easy to recommend trying it out You're sure to get you £19 worth of investment rewarded. Construction looks likely to be pretty durable.

FiiO FT1 32Ω Large Dynamic Driver Headphones with Solid Wood Cups
Thursday 09 January, 2025
I had a Sennheiser HD599SE, but I had to switch to closed-back due to too much leakage, understandably. I was not happy at all to switch from open-back to closed-back. I was deciding between the FiiO FT1 and the ATH M50X, as I needed a closed-back under £150. I got both, and tested both with bass heavy, singer-based/ mid, treble and imaging and I kept the FT1 without a single doubt. The ATH M50X sounded slightly more detailed, but only very slightly, bear in mind. However, the FT1 just sounded so much more natural across the board. During listening to music, it sounded somewhat more natural. It was bassy enough, the mid was also nice. During FPS games when the FT1 really shined, the bass was outstanding compared to the ATH and overall just much more natural. Also, the imaging... The imaging and the soundstage of the FT1`s are really good. The ATH may have had slightly more detail, but I am unsure about that. I tried both during Hell Let Loose and Helldivers 2. The sound effects are insane and the FT1 really nicely reflects that. Whereas, the ATH gave more like an artificial/ manufactured sound. Overall, I wanted a very good pair of headphones after having open-back but I wasn`t sure I will get that. I would go as far as saying the FT1 produces a more natural sound than my open back. Also, massive cups and they were much more comfortable and breathable than the ATH.

FiiO FH9 Knowles 7 Driver Hybrid In-Ear HiFi Earphone

Did a lot of research and read a bunch of reviews before purchasing these, so I opened my wallet a little more and I'm glad I did. The sound is really great and FiiO spoils us with accessories! Amazing quality for the price, especially compared to some IEMs in the £1000+ range.

FiiO BTR13 Bluetooth Headphone Amplifier

Excellent product and it made a huge difference in the audio quality! Should've gone with a proper DAC like FiiO BTR13 instead of spending money on different earphones , cables and TWS Bluetooth adapters. All these time the problem was with the DAC and Bluetooth supported audio quality. The FiiO android app EQ helped to get rid of other EQ apps as well. Great product! Thank you!

iBasso DC Elite Flagship Portable DAC - A DX320 in your pocket!
Tuesday 08 October, 2024
The Elite is an amazing device. Beautifully built with a song, quality feeling case. The stepped attenuator is different from standard volume controls, but works well and is said to sound better. For fine adjustment, the side button adds 4 steps. Th sound is frankly stunning for a dongle. At least as good as my IBasso DX240. Large soundstage and very dynamic sound. Bags of detail, clarity and great imaging. Not at all sibilant or thin. Great texture. Works well with all genres. Highly recommended. My only gripe is that it is fine listening seated, but in my pocket walking to and from work, I get significant interference from my iPhone 13Pro when it rests up against it. Suspect it is as it is searching for signal. I have had 2 Elites and both have had the issue. However, the sound is so great, that I have put up with it.
