Sapphire-coated composite diaphragm
The EH13 features a special driver diaphragm design, utilising a sapphire-coated dome combined with a PEEK+PU composite surround.
The dome is coated with sapphire - a material second only to diamond in hardness. Its high elastic modulus of 400GPa significantly increases diaphragm rigidity, effectively suppressing breakup distortion during high-speed vibration. This reduces distortion by 30%, resulting in a delicate, detail-rich treble. Precision embossing further enhances transient response and minimises distortion, while also allowing the diaphragm to withstand negative pressure during noise cancellation – thus extending its lifespan.
The PEEK+PU composite surround provides robust support for the rest of the driver diaphragm. It improves bass extension and quantity, thus also optimising the noise-cancelling effect* for a more profound sense of silence.
