Using a top-tier combination of 20 drivers and a 5-way crossover, the Epitome perfectly combines the ethereal quality of electrostatic drivers with the precision of balanced armature drivers. Melodies are beautiful and natural and present you with a realistic soundscape. The hypoallergenic resin shell is artfully crafted with a metallic finish that seemingly drifts across its surface, resembling a starry night sky. As the light and shadow shift, the surface radiates a dazzling, star-like lustre, complementing the auditory experience.
20 Driver Configuration
Epitome is designed with a blueprint of 8 electrostatic and 12 balanced armature drivers for each monitor. The 8 electrostatic drivers preserve a natural airy sensation with a quality that only electrostatic drivers have. The 12 balanced armature drivers precisely cover ultra-high, mid-high, mid, and low-frequency ranges. The 20 drivers together create an outstanding acoustic architecture that combines electrostatic and balanced armature technology in harmony.
Epitome utilises through-hole resistors and other premium components to build a complex five-way crossover system, ensuring that sound signals from different frequency bands are accurately transmitted. The transitions between each frequency range are smooth, resulting in a seamless and unified sound. Whether reproducing the intricate layers of classical music or the delicate vocal emotions of singers, it delivers a precise and natural field of sound.
8 Electrostatic Drivers + 12 BA Hybrid IEM (20 drivers per monitor)
Four dual electrostatic drivers, 8 drivers in total, are responsible for the frequency range of 10kHz–20kHz and above. Sonion electrostatic drivers enhance auditory perception by imparting a greater sense of airiness and spatial openness to the soundscape.
One dual high-frequency BA driver, responsible for the frequency range of 6kHz–12kHz, uses Knowles high-frequency BA drivers for the transition between high and ultra-high frequencies, ensuring a natural crossover of the ultra-high frequencies.
Two Sonion dual mid-high frequency BA drivers, responsible for the frequency range of 3kHz–6kHz, handle the transition between high and mid frequencies, ensuring clear and powerful instrument separation and presentation.
Two Sonion dual mid-frequency BA drivers, responsible for the frequency range of 400Hz–3kHz, handle mid-range vocals, ensuring vocals are rich and emotionally expressive.
One Sonion dual low-frequency BA driver, responsible for the frequency range of 20Hz–400Hz, handles the low frequencies, ensuring the bass is dynamic and controlled.

Epitome features 3D-printed shells with a three-dimensional appearance on the top panel, yet they are light and comfortable to wear.
To align with the concept of Epitome, iBasso uses a unique technology that evenly integrates countless ultra-fine shimmering metallic pieces, drifting like the expansive night sky.
Under different lighting angles, the shell exhibits a gradient flickering effect, appearing like meteors streaking across the sky — dazzling and captivating.

Epitome utilises 0.78mm–2Pin earpiece plugs, compatible with all cables of the same interface. It comes with a 5N mono crystal copper Litz structure cable and features a replaceable plug system. Standard connectors include 4.4mm, 3.5mm, and USB-C, providing exceptional sound whether used single-ended, balanced, or directly plugged into a smartphone.
A New Alloy Cable
Before the launch of Epitome, a new alloy was created that consists of a special silver-plated wire developed in conjunction with our partnered conductor laboratory, offering excellent sound performance. Since it has not undergone full durability testing, we decided to offer it as a complimentary gift along with the standard cable to all customers who purchase the Epitome earphones.
