FPGA Master 3.0 as the core - Control of 128 PWM DACs

Decoding the discrete components of a flagship desktop for a portable player When the FPGA generates a PWM signal for decoding, the discrete DAC decodes the signal. The DX340 uses an industry-leading 16-group 8E PWM DAC cascade. L+, L-, R+, R- 32E each per channel. The number of PWM DACs is more than 6.4 times higher than other portable discrete DACs. With the advantage of decoding quantity and precise FPGA Master3.0 picosecond control, the DX340's noise reduction far exceeds that of other discrete DAC devices, and the THD+N of the entire device is as low as -119dB!

FPGA Master 3.0+ Dual Accusilicon Femtosecond Quartz Oscillator Independent Audio Master Control to Create the Player's Second Brain

The DX340 is equipped with FPGA Master 3.0 technology, which is based on iBasso's self-developed algorithms collected over many years. The number of LUT logic units in the FPGA chip is 7.5 times higher than in FPGA Master 2.0. FPGA Master 3.0 is equipped with a new and exclusive algorithm for adjusting harmonics based on FPGA Master 2.0, which enables true “self-optimization of harmonics.”

FPGA Master 3.0 can be used as an audio master to request audio data directly from the SoC, and with two Accusilicon femtosecond quartz oscillators with a noise level of only -158dBc/Hz@1kHz, it can achieve a fully synchronous single clock source, achieve precise control in the picosecond range, reduce jitter as much as possible, and build a purely digital audio system. Every note becomes precise, clear, and detailed.

FPGA Master 3.0 leverages the power of the new FPGA and adds a large number of new algorithms for harmonic tuning, allowing users to freely adjust even and odd harmonics. The result is rich harmonics and a more distinctive sound. By adding even harmonics, the sound can achieve a flavor similar to that of the bile duct, and by adding odd harmonics, the sound can become more passionate and energetic.

 

Patented dual-battery power supply architecture

The power supply system is the part that affects the core of the player's sound quality. Excellent players have strict requirements for the power supply of SOC, DAC, headphone amplifier, etc. When a single battery is used to supply power and the load is large, it is easy for the digital circuit and analog circuit to interact, resulting in additional distortion and thus a deterioration in sound quality.

The DX340 is powered by iBasso's patented dual-battery architecture, in which the digital and analog sections are powered by separate batteries. The independent power supply can ensure the stability of the headphone amplifier's power supply and effectively isolate the electromagnetic interference of the digital part, significantly reducing the deterioration in sound quality caused by an insufficient power supply. At the same time, we have further optimized the dual electrical architecture of the DX340, unified power management, charging, and power display, and used a single icon display. When the DX340 is connected to a fast-charging outlet with sufficient power, it is powered by an internal battery and is completely independent of the power supply. The DX340 was designed with interchangeable amplifier cards and is compatible with multiple amplifier cards, such as the AMP1X series, AMP12, AMP13, AMP14, etc., and will also be compatible with other AMP1X series amplifier cards that will be released in the future.

Each amplifier card is unique, and there is no difference in positioning. They have irreplaceable advantages to meet different requirements. The standard AMP15 headphone amplifier has a new architecture and supports an external DC 12V power supply.

After connecting to the DC 12V power supply, the headphone amplifier's power supply is increased from the standard ±8V to ±12V, and the “S-level gain mode” is activated with a boost of up to 2150mW+2150mW@32 Ω. The high thrust ensures that both complex classical music on a grand scale and relatively simple pop music and ACG produce an excellent sense of hierarchy and resolution, so that every detail is meticulously rendered.

In addition, the DX340 supports TF card expansion up to 2 TB, so you don't have to worry about storage space.

The DX340 is equipped with the Android 13 system, with a beautiful UI and more intuitive operation. The DX340 bypasses SRC globally at the system level, so both Mango players and streaming APKs can enjoy the “non-SRC” function at the system level.

The DX340 also features Mango OS, a pure sound system based on a closed Linux and designed specifically for music playback. Mango OS has accumulated a large number of optimization results for music decoding and underlying driver algorithms, etc., and the CPU load is lower as it focuses only on audio playback. The pure sound system has no WiFi and Bluetooth interference, less EMI, and a purer listening experience. Dual system without switching, one player, two experiences: Android and pure sound!

The DX340 uses a 6.0-inch AMOLED full screen with 1080*2160 pixels, which offers a narrow front bezel and an unparalleled visual impression. The pixels on the AMOLED screen emit light individually, with deep blacks and a million-to-one contrast ratio. AMOLED screens are more energy-efficient than LED screens, and the colours are rich and full, which is pleasing to the eye.

 

Titanium housing

The DX340's housing is made of CNC-machined titanium, which has even higher corrosion resistance and hardness than 316 stainless steel.

Compared to aluminium alloy housing, titanium housing is more stable and has better acoustic performance.

The DX340 is manufactured using a CNC-controlled process, the surface is polished and engraved, and the titanium gives the product a luxurious texture that an aluminium alloy housing cannot offer.
