The JH13 features a driver combination of one dynamic+two balanced armatures. The custom 10mm dynamic driver produces rich, robust, and deep bass. This is paired with custom composite dual balanced armature (BA) drivers, which significantly boost treble resolution and provide a refreshing sense of airiness. The dynamic and BA drivers work together via a specially-designed crossover. The result is clear, detailed, and accurate sound, offering twice the sonic layering compared to delivering double the sense of sonic layering compared to purely dynamic driver headphones.
Asymmetrical internal and external magnetic circuits, lightning-fast responsiveness
The JH13 features the asymmetrical internal and external dual magnetic circuit system like that found in the FIIO FT3, which uses Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation to effectively increase the magnetic field density in the voice coil’s magnetic gap. With a sensitivity reaching 110 dB/mW, the headphones are easy to drive, delivering excellent audio even from portable devices like smartphones and dongle DACs. This high efficiency guarantees a seamless and smooth integration with the high-sensitivity balanced armature units, leading to a cohesive and natural sonic presentation. Furthermore, its quick response to current audio signal changes means that instruments and drum beats are being rendered with excellent clarity and impact.
CCAW voice coil, more transparent treble
Underlying the JH13’s dynamic driver is a high-performance CCAW (copper-clad aluminium wire) voice coil sourced from the Daikoku Corporation of Japan. The wire core has a diameter of just 0.033mm. The lighter aluminium coil decreases the mass of the driver’s vibrating system, achieving quicker transient response. The result is clearer and more transparent treble filled with rich detail, with percussion instruments and drums in particular sounding crisper and snappier.
Zebrawood faceplate, exuding a comforting vintage feel
The headphone faceplates are crafted from genuine Zebrawood. The naturally formed, interwoven light and dark stripes of the wood exude a comforting vintage feel. Furthermore, the wood provides excellent rigidity and structural stability to make it reliable and long-lasting.
Considerate design enriches the listening experience
The JH13 features a premium high-purity oxygen-free copper (OFC) cable, consisting of 120 wires across a total of four strands. It comes with a 3.5mm plug on one end and 0.78mm 2-pin connectors on the other, helping users to freely connect it to various audio devices. The protective shielded design safeguards the delicate 0.78mm pins and ensures a more secure connection between the cable and the earphones.
The specially designed around-the-ear design firmly seats the earpiece in the ear canal and distributes pressure for a stable and comfortable fit. The cable follows the contour of your ear, reducing movement and friction to effectively eliminate the microphonics common to many in-ear headphones.
