Khadas Tea Ultra-Slim Magnetic DAC & Headphone Amplifier

The Khadas Tea is an ultra-slim magnetic DAC and headphone amplifier designed to bring high-resolution wired and Bluetooth audio to smartphones, tablets and computers.

Designed with portability in mind, the Tea attaches magnetically to compatible MagSafe iPhones, giving you a slim phone-and-DAC setup without bulky straps or stacking bands. Android users can also use a MagSafe-compatible magnetic case or ring to create a similar attached setup.

Inside, the Tea uses an ESS ES9281AC Pro DAC with support for high-resolution USB audio, including PCM up to 32-bit / 384kHz and native DSD256. It also supports MQA Renderer playback, Apple Lossless and popular lossless music apps and streaming platforms.

For wireless listening, the Tea uses a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip and supports high-quality Bluetooth codecs including AAC, SBC, LDAC, aptX, aptX HD and aptX Low Latency. This gives the Tea flexibility as both a wired USB DAC and a portable Bluetooth headphone amplifier.

The Tea is built for standard wired headphones and earphones, with a 3.5mm analogue headphone output and automatic load adaptation for headphones from 8Ω to 300Ω. Output power reaches up to 165mW at 32Ω, with low noise, strong dynamic range and a clean signal path for everyday portable listening.

Despite its compact size, the Tea includes a built-in 1160mAh lithium-polymer battery, providing up to 8 hours of continuous playback. This lets the Tea power your headphones independently without relying heavily on your phone’s battery.

The chassis is made from CNC-machined aluminium with an anti-fingerprint glass panel, giving the Tea a slim, premium feel. At only 73.5g and 6.25mm at its thinnest point, it is designed to stay pocket-friendly when attached to a phone.

The Tea also includes dual built-in microphones for Bluetooth calls and voice assistant use, plus simple physical controls for power and volume. With the Khadas Audio app, users can adjust gain, EQ, filter settings and button functions for more personalised control.

Please note: Khadas Tea is a DAC/headphone amplifier for wired headphones and earphones. It is not compatible with wireless earphones as an output device.
