The HiFiMAN EF500 is a desktop DAC and headphone amplifier designed for both high-quality headphone listening and modern music streaming setups. The built-in headphone amplifier delivers up to 4.5W balanced output, giving the EF500 the power needed to drive demanding headphones with confidence. It includes both 6.35mm single-ended and XLR 4-pin balanced headphone outputs, making it compatible with a wide range of headphone setups.

The EF500 also works as a compact headphone stand, allowing you to keep your headphones neatly stored while keeping the amplifier ready for use on a desk or Hi-Fi rack. Its slim vertical design makes it easy to place beside a computer, streamer or listening chair without taking up too much space.

For connectivity, the EF500 offers several listening options. It can play music directly from a connected NAS drive, stream music from mobile devices or favourite apps, and operate as a traditional DAC and headphone amplifier via USB. The rear panel includes USB-C, USB-B, coaxial input, coaxial/analogue function switching, XLR balanced outputs and RCA single-ended outputs, making it flexible enough for both headphone and Hi-Fi systems.
