HiFiMAN Arya WiFi Streaming Media Planar Headphones

The HiFiMAN Arya WiFi combines the open-back planar magnetic performance of the Arya family with a fully integrated high-resolution wireless playback system. Rather than simply adding Bluetooth to a conventional pair of headphones, HiFiMAN has incorporated WiFi streaming, digital-to-analogue conversion and dedicated headphone amplification directly into the Arya WiFi.

At the heart of the system is HiFiMAN's compact HYMALAYA Mini R2R DAC, allowing digital audio to be converted within the headphones themselves. Together with onboard amplification, this creates a complete playback system that can operate without a separate desktop DAC or headphone amplifier. 

The Arya WiFi also introduces HiFiMAN's NEO Supernano Diaphragm Gen.2, an ultra-thin planar diaphragm measuring only 60% of the thickness of the original generation. The reduced moving mass helps the driver respond quickly and accurately to changes in the audio signal, while the planar magnetic design distributes driving force across the diaphragm for low distortion and precise reproduction. 

HiFiMAN's Stealth Magnet and Enhanced Magnet technologies further refine the driver system. The Stealth Magnet structure is designed to reduce disruption to sound waves passing through the magnetic array, while the Enhanced Magnet system optimises the magnetic structure and materials surrounding the driver. 

Integrated WiFi streaming is where the Arya WiFi differs most significantly from conventional wireless headphones. It supports high-bitrate, lossless playback over a network with digital audio formats extending up to 32-bit/768kHz PCM and native DSD512. This provides a high-resolution wireless option without being restricted to the bandwidth of a traditional Bluetooth connection. 

For everyday versatility, the Arya WiFi also includes Bluetooth and USB Audio modes. Bluetooth supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD and LDAC, while USB-C provides a direct digital audio connection. Battery life is rated at approximately 6.5–7.5 hours in WiFi mode and up to 23 hours in Bluetooth mode, with a charging time of around three to four hours.

With a wide 8Hz–55kHz ±0.5dB frequency response, open-back planar magnetic design and a complete high-resolution streaming system built directly into the headphones, the HiFiMAN Arya WiFi offers a distinctive approach to high-end headphone listening for users who want the freedom of wireless playback without giving up access to high-resolution audio.
