5.25-inch "Continuum" composite fibre woofer, delivering deep and powerful bass
The SP5 features a 5.25-inch woofer with a cone made from a similar "Continuum" composite fibre material as used in the legendary B&W 700 series. To deliver incredible sound in larger spaces, we've carefully refined every detail of the driver, from the cone material to the magnetic circuit system, driver suspension design, and even the voice coil.
This meticulous engineering provides outstanding rigidity and control, allowing the SP5 to handle intense, dynamic music without a hint of distortion. The result is deep and powerful bass for a rich, full-bodied sound that is also tight and responsive. Every last detail is reproduced both accurately and impactfully.
1-inch composite silk soft dome tweeter, for clear and smooth treble
The SP5 tweeter isn't just made from premium materials—it's also acoustically engineered to perfection. FiiO's development team innovatively designed a soft, hemispherical structure inside the dome, which precisely absorbs the harmful harmonics from the back of the diaphragm. The result is significantly purer and more transparent treble.
To achieve the high-end Hi-Fi goals of low resonance and high power handling, the SP5 features a groundbreaking large rear cavity design. This innovative design allows the high frequencies to go down to an impressive 800Hz. It also makes sure the driver can release pressure even at frequencies above 20kHz, which dramatically reduces unwanted resonance.
Independent 120W power supplies - Ensuring the main and secondary speakers have the same supply with no interference
FiiO's self-developed, high-power switching power supply delivers a robust 120W of power to each SP5 speaker. These ample power reserves allow the speakers to handle any kind of dynamic music with ease, while universal voltage support lets you take your speakers anywhere.
A clean power supply is essential for true high-fidelity sound. The SP5 uses a multi-stage rectification and filtering architecture to independently power the output stage, significantly reducing interference. A revolutionary transformer resonance system is used to convert a single power source into a dual-symmetrical power supply - providing clean, stable energy to the critical front-end circuitry. This design eliminates DC-DC noise pollution at the source, resulting in an excellent signal-to-noise ratio and a darker background with clearer details.
The Smart Power-Saving Mode* is thoughtfully designed for energy efficiency, with extremely low standby power consumption. The speakers instantly wake up the moment music starts playing, always ready to deliver stunning sound.
Low-noise, high-precision electronic volume control - Built with a strong composite encoder and a precise core
The SP5 uses the high-precision, low-noise NJW1195A electronic volume control, one in each speaker. This volume control features a resistor-ladder electronic potentiometer with little imbalance and low output noise at just -118dBV typ. (1.26µVrms). It also boasts an ultra-low distortion rate of just 0.0003%. The wide volume range of +31.5dB to -95dB can be adjusted in fine 0.5Db steps, allowing for precise volume control.
By using a chip typically found in high-end headphone amplifiers and combining it with meticulously tuned circuitry, the SP5 achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 100dB.
Supports FiiO Control app remote control, ten-band PEQ
For a more refined listening experience, the FiiO SP5 offers precise control through the FiiO Control App. Once connected via Bluetooth, you can use the app to manage your input source, Bluetooth codec, RGB lighting, and power-saving settings.
You can also use the app for advanced sound customisation. Fine-tune the sound by adjusting the frequency response curve with a 10-band PEQ powered by FiiO’s proprietary algorithms.
