24-Position 4-Section Stepped Attenuator
iBasso DC-Elite revamps the traditional 24-position, 4-section stepped attenuator, by compressing the volume to one-tenth of the size of the original attenuator. It ensures that the user get consistent performance with proper balance between the left and right channels. This type of potentiometer is generally used on high-end amplifiers. The DC Elite achieves an SNR of 96.3dB. The sound of each channel is precisely controlled, with a difference of just +/-0.1dB.
Please note that when using the stepped attenuator, you may experience a loss of sound during the volume adjustment process. When experiencing this, you only need to gently turn the volume knob clockwise to restore to the desired volume.
In-House Developed FPGA Architecture
iBasso DC-Elite adopts an in-house developed FPGA algorithm. It utilizes independent NDK Femtosecond oscillators that provide exceptionally low jitter leading to minimal distortion.
Advanced Power Supply Design
iBasso DC-Elite features an advanced power supply design with a synchronous DC-DC converter and ultra-low noise LDOs from linear technology. This design architecture is similar to flagship audio players in the past. The noise level is as low as 0.8uV, ensuring an ultra-clean output with no audible noise floor even with sensitive IEMs. DC-Elite receives its power through the USB interface from the master device.
Luxurious Titanium Shell Design
iBasso DC-Elite is crafted with aerospace-grade titanium alloy material. The device has a luxurious finish paired with tempered glass panels on the top and the bottom. The DC-Elite has an exquisite finish. Titanium alloy provides the device with a lightweight and robust build structure.
4.4mm Pentaconn and 3.5mm Single-Ended Output Options
iBasso DC-Elite features dual headphone output ports. This includes a 4.4mm pentaconn balanced output and a 3.5mm single-ended output. The device has a maximum output of upto 280mW from the 4.4mm output and upto 162mW from the 3.5mm output. In fact, the 3.5mm jack interface is capable of transmitting SPDIF coaxial signals for direct connection of the DC Elite to an external DAC. To do this, simply apply a long press to the volume knob. The LED indicator turns white.
