The Shanling M0 Pro is an update of the tiny M0, Shanling’s most popular player: 36.8g, with two ESS ES9219C DACs, a 1.54-inch touchscreen, two-way LDAC Bluetooth and up to 14.5 hours of battery. A special 3.5mm socket gives both a normal and a balanced output, with up to 236mW into 32Ω balanced.
Dual DACs, balanced output
The two ES9219C DACs process the signal fully balanced and play PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and native DSD. The 5-pin 3.5mm socket works with any standard 3.5mm headphones, or gives a balanced connection through Shanling’s 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapter (sold separately).
Small, but complete
Shanling’s MTouch system runs on an Ingenic X1000 chip and is built only for music. Bluetooth 5.0 works both ways: send LDAC, aptX, AAC or SBC to wireless headphones, or receive LDAC, AAC or SBC from a phone. Over USB-C it is a USB DAC for a computer or a digital transport for an external DAC. A microSD slot takes cards up to 2TB, and the Eddict Player app on an Android phone can browse and control it. The CNC aluminium body has curved 7H tempered glass and a control wheel.

Good to know
- There is no built-in storage: you need a microSD card. Balanced output needs Shanling’s 3.5mm to 4.4mm adapter.
- In the box: screen protector, USB-C cable and manual.
- Protect it with the M0 Pro leather case. The newer Shanling M0 Pura has two Cirrus Logic DACs and up to 250mW.
