MEET THE K7
A balanced desktop DAC/amp with dual AK4493SEQ DACs and THX AAA 788+ amps up to 2000mW, in standard or Bluetooth versions.
A six-stage circuit with balanced analogue and digital sections.
Up to 2000mW at 32Ω for low and high-impedance headphones.
One AK4493SEQ DAC per channel, with optional Bluetooth and app control.
The FiiO K7 sets what FiiO calls a new baseline for balanced desktop sound. Two AKM AK4493SEQ DACs, one per channel, and the same THX AAA 788+ amplifiers used in the K9 Pro run in a truly balanced, six-stage circuit, delivering up to 2,000mW per channel from the 4.4mm balanced output. USB, optical, coaxial and RCA inputs, 6.35mm and 4.4mm headphone outputs and an RCA output for speakers or an external amp make it a complete desk hub, and the K7 BT version adds Qualcomm Bluetooth with LDAC and aptX Adaptive. It won a VGP 2024 Summer Life Style award.

The K7’s six-stage audio circuit keeps both the digital and analogue sections truly balanced, which reduces crosstalk (124dB on the balanced output) and lets you hear more of the purity of your music. Each channel has its own high-performance AK4493SEQ DAC, whose pleasant timbre gives a rich, delicate overall sound.

The same THX AAA 788+ amplifiers as the K9 Pro bring high-end balanced amplification to a more affordable device. They deliver 2,000mW into 32Ω and 560mW into 300Ω from the 4.4mm balanced output (1,220mW into 32Ω from the 6.35mm), at under 1% distortion, so both low- and high-impedance headphones are driven with ease. Two hardware gain levels match everything from sensitive earphones to demanding headphones.

An XMOS XUF208 USB receiver with dual clock management handles all common formats with ease: PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256 over USB, 192kHz/24-bit over coaxial and 96kHz/24-bit over optical. Thanks to ADC curve reconstruction, the volume adjusts smoothly over 112 steps without channel imbalance or noise.

Power arrives from an external 12V/24W low-noise switching supply and is split into multiple independent stages, each regulated by low-noise LDOs, for plentiful, clean power. Overheating, overload and DC protection keep the K7 and your headphones safe.
A single key cycles through the four inputs (USB, optical, coaxial and RCA), with a flowing light to show when the new input is ready. Another switches between three output modes: headphones, speakers (the RCA output as a preamp for active speakers or a power amp) and DAC (a line output to feed an external amplifier). Connect a computer over USB, or a phone with a USB-C to USB-B cable.

RGB indicator lights show single or mixed colours, with a light-flow effect when you switch on or change input. The all-aluminium body is CNC-machined and finished in black with gold THX and Hi-Res Audio badges. It is only 55mm tall, with a footprint under a third of an A4 sheet.

The K7 BT adds a Qualcomm QCC5124 Bluetooth 5.1 receiver supporting LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX, AAC and SBC: switch to the Bluetooth input for low-latency, hi-res wireless sound. With the FiiO Control app you can choose the Bluetooth codec, set a custom PEQ and update the Bluetooth firmware. Otherwise the two versions are identical.
