Condition: Box opened
What this means: The box has been opened, so we can't sell it as new. It has been checked and works as it should, and it comes with all its accessories and the manual. No cosmetic marks: a unit with marks is listed as Cosmetic scratches and says so. Full manufacturer warranty.
The HiFiMAN HE600 is an open-back planar magnetic headphone tuned to match the legendary HE6 when that is driven by a high-power amplifier. New magnet technology and an ultra-thin diaphragm make it more sensitive and easier to drive than the HE6. At 389g it is also much lighter.
HE6 sound, modern driver
HiFiMAN measured the HE600 against an HE6 run from a powerful amplifier to reproduce its tuning, known for dynamics, detail and realism. The NEO Supernano Gen.2 diaphragm is only 60% as thick as the first generation, for fast transients and low distortion. HiFiMAN’s Enhanced Magnet uses rare-earth-free magnetic material in an optimised structure, with sensitivity comparable to rare-earth designs.
Comfort
A new ergonomic headband spreads the weight. HiFiMAN’s FocusPad ear pads combine memory foam with pleather and soft velour. The 3.5mm cable sockets are angled at 10 degrees to reduce strain on the connection.

Good to know
- More sensitive than the HE6, but still a planar that rewards a strong desktop amplifier.
- Open-back: it leaks sound and lets outside noise in, so it is best for quiet rooms.
