Condition: Damaged packaging
What this means: The packaging is damaged. It has been checked and works as it should, and it comes with all its accessories and the manual. No cosmetic marks unless stated. Full manufacturer warranty.
The FiiO SNOWSKY ECHO is a pocket hi-res music player in a CNC-machined aluminium-magnesium body, styled as a tribute to the cassette player. Two Cirrus Logic CS43198 DACs with dedicated power deliver up to 260mW from the 4.4mm balanced output, a 2.39-inch screen shows retro animated interfaces, album art and lyrics, and it doubles as a USB DAC, a Bluetooth source and even an e-reader. It plays DSD256 and 24-bit/192kHz files, is Hi-Res Audio certified and lasts more than 14 hours.
From plastic to metal
The ECHO series has moved up from lightweight plastic to metal. The body is 6000-series aluminium-magnesium alloy, precision-machined by CNC, for an exquisite feel and a solid, premium weight, while the classic cassette look of the ECHO MINI brings back the charm of another era.
Retro screens, album art and lyrics
A suite of custom retro animated interfaces, including VU meters, spinning cassettes and audio visualisers, brings the music to life on the 2.39-inch high-resolution, bezel-less IPS display, with full support for album art (embedded JPG) and lyrics (LRC files).
Dual CS43198 DACs, 3.5mm and 4.4mm
Two all-new CS43198 DACs with dedicated power delivery give up to 260mW from the balanced output, enough for everything from in-ear monitors to full-size headphones. With 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced jacks, it suits almost any headphone or cable, from entry-level IEMs to high-end boutique headphones. An independent audio crystal oscillator keeps the signal accurate, and the ECHO is Hi-Res Audio certified.
Every format, and room for your library
It plays DSD (up to DSD256), WAV, FLAC, APE, MP3, M4A and OGG, with PCM up to 24-bit/192kHz. FiiO lists 4GB/8GB of built-in storage, plus a microSD slot for cards of up to 256GB, room for thousands of lossless tracks. A wealth of EQ presets and a high-precision custom EQ let you tailor the sound.
USB DAC, Bluetooth and an e-reader
Plug the ECHO into a phone or computer and it becomes a driver-free USB DAC, bringing its DACs and circuitry to those devices; in this mode you can turn off charging so it doesn’t drain your phone. Bluetooth sends music to wireless headphones and speakers (some models may not be compatible). There is even a built-in TXT reader, so it doubles as a pocket e-reader. In-line remote controls (CTIA) let you play, pause, skip and change volume from your headphone cable.
14 hours per charge
The 1,100mAh battery gives more than 14 hours of continuous playback, ideal for long journeys.
