The FiiO Jade Audio JA11 is a very affordable USB-C dongle that gives phones, tablets and computers without a headphone socket a proper 3.5mm output, and makes you, as FiiO puts it, the master of your own music. A built-in professional DSP with a customisable parametric EQ, support for PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and even DSD128 (almost unheard of at this price), headset microphone support and an anodised alloy body make it a true all-rounder at about 5g. It is Hi-Res Audio certified.
Your tuning, your choice
The JA11’s built-in DSP lets you pick a preset tuning style or create your own sound with the parametric EQ. Through the FiiO Control app you can also use FiiO’s officially recommended EQ curves, or share and download curves made by other listeners, bringing professional-style tuning to an entry-level device. On Android, the app adds presets, finer volume steps and UAC version switching.
Clean sound for earphones
A meticulously designed circuit restores true hi-fi sound to 3.5mm earphones and headphones, with 30mW per channel into 32Ω, a 115dB signal-to-noise ratio, distortion below 0.004% and an output impedance under 0.5Ω. It suits earbuds and in-ear monitors best.
Calls, recording and karaoke
Microphone input and CTIA/OMTP in-line controls mean you can make calls, record audio and even sing karaoke through a headset. Some phones don’t allow microphone input over USB because of operating system limits, in which case calls use the phone’s own microphone.
Small, light and well made
The aluminium-magnesium alloy body goes through a second anodising process for a refined, luxurious finish, and the metal also helps shield against interference. Inside the cable, high-purity oxygen-free palladium-plated copper wires give low impedance and resist interference for a stable signal, wrapped in a dual-layer sheath of flexible silicone and braided yarn that is soft yet durable.
