The FiiO KA11 is a tiny USB DAC and headphone amplifier that gives phones, tablets and computers a cleaner, more powerful 3.5mm headphone output. The successor to the KA1 is even smaller yet much more powerful: a Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC and SGM8262 amplifier deliver up to 245mW per channel, it plays PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, and a 125dB signal-to-noise ratio keeps the background silent. Choose USB-C or Lightning, and use its UAC 1.0 mode with games consoles such as the Switch and PS5. It is Hi-Res Audio certified.
Smaller than ever, but more powerful
Nearly two years after the KA1, FiiO made the KA11 even more compact, light enough to be almost unnoticeable on the move, yet it delivers 245mW per channel into 16Ω and 200mW into 32Ω (22mW into 300Ω): enough for earphones and many full-size headphones.
A carefully designed hi-fi circuit
A high-performance CS43131 DAC, an SGM8262 op-amp, a high-precision crystal oscillator and an independent power supply work together in a purpose-designed audio circuit, laid out on an immersion-gold circuit board. The measurements show it: a 125dB signal-to-noise ratio, a noise floor below 1.7µV, distortion as low as 0.0006% into 32Ω (0.00038% into 300Ω) and an output impedance under 0.7Ω.
A quality cable and a handsome body
The cable uses high-purity oxygen-free palladium-plated copper wires for low impedance, fast signal transfer and resistance to interference, covered in flexible silicone and braided cloth so it is soft yet durable. The aluminium-magnesium alloy body is tough, with elegant curves and inlaid details in two-tone finishes.
Works with almost everything
With USB-C or Lightning versions, the KA11 connects to Android and iOS phones and tablets and to Windows and Mac computers. It supports UAC 2.0 and UAC 1.0: in UAC 1.0 mode, devices such as the Nintendo Switch and PS5 work plug-and-play for low-latency gaming with rich, detailed sound effects (switch modes in the FiiO Control app).
App control and status light
On Android, the FiiO Control app sets the lighting and digital filters, switches the UAC mode and can turn the light off. The light shows the format: light blue for PCM at 48kHz or below (and standby), yellow above 48kHz, and green for DSD.
