Read the full description
The Cayin YB04 is a quad balanced armature in-ear monitor: two Knowles tweeters and two Sonion woofers, joined by a carefully tuned crossover in a jointless, CNC-machined aluminium shell. Cayin aimed for an engaging, powerful and natural sound that reproduces the original rather than emphasising anything, and it comes with Cayin’s own 8-wire hybrid cable and 12 pairs of ear tips.
Perfect tuning takes patience
Cayin chose the drivers first, then the most suitable aluminium nozzle, designed and built the CNC enclosure around them, and spent months listening to get the crossover right. Finally it built a dedicated YB04 cable from a unique combination of high-quality materials.
Designed for precision
Dual Knowles high-definition tweeters (SWFK31736) and dual Sonion woofers (33AJ007) give outstanding clarity and musicality across the whole frequency range, bringing out the subtle emotion in every note.
A machined aluminium enclosure
The CNC-machined aluminium shells are solidly built in a robust matt black finish, with a jointless structure that reduces resonance and interaction between the drivers. Their shape comes from months of study for comfort, isolation and a secure fit, even in smaller ears, and the angled nozzle sits naturally in the ear. The very strong aluminium nozzle has a dust filter and unscrews for cleaning.
8-wire hybrid cable
Cayin’s custom cable combines unidirectional crystallised OFC and silver-alloy conductors in an 8-wire hybrid design, specially annealed and recrystallised for excellent ductility and flexibility with minimal cable noise. It has a gold-plated 3.5mm plug that resists corrosion and keeps a good contact, a hexagonal aluminium splitter and plug cast from a custom mould to match the faceplates, and gold-plated 0.78mm 2-pin connectors with a non-recessed, extruded design for wide compatibility and strength.
An all-round companion
Whether commuting, at the gym, gaming or travelling, the YB04 seals you into your own private listening room.
