The Shanling UA Mini is a tiny USB-C dongle DAC and headphone amplifier: extra power in a smaller body. At just 8.4g it is among Shanling’s lightest DACs, yet a Cirrus Logic CS43131 DAC, a dedicated SGM8262 headphone amplifier and a Savitech SA9312 USB chip give your phone, tablet or laptop a clean, hiss-free 3.5mm output with up to 205mW per channel into 32Ω, and support for 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD256. It is Hi-Res Audio certified.
Lightweight, with more power
Shanling reduced the weight to 8.4g while improving the audio circuit, adding output power for more demanding headphones: 205mW + 205mW into 32Ω and 260mW + 260mW into 16Ω.
Cirrus Logic CS43131: neutral and detailed
The CS43131 is a dedicated hi-fi DAC, favoured by many audiophiles for its neutral presentation and excellent measurements, and here it reaches an impressive 126dB signal-to-noise ratio. It plays PCM from 44.1kHz to 384kHz/32-bit and native DSD64 to DSD256.
A dedicated SGM8262 headphone amplifier
The UA Mini improves on Shanling’s earlier budget dongles with a dedicated headphone amplifier, giving a more robust headphone output and extra driving power, so it copes with a wider range of headphones.
Savitech SA9312 USB chip
Savitech’s USB input is known for its low noise and smooth connection, giving ideal data communication between your source and the UA Mini’s DAC.
Ultra-low noise, extremely clean background
Developed with a close focus on portable audio and highly sensitive earphones, the UA Mini gives a clean, black background with no audible noise or hiss in any situation: its noise floor is just 1.4µV, and distortion is as low as 0.0004% into 32Ω.
Universal USB-C and a silver-plated copper cable
The industry-standard USB-C connection makes for a simple, stable link to Android, Apple and Windows phones, tablets and computers, and the durable cable uses silver-plated copper wires for pure signal transmission. To save your device’s battery, the UA Mini is active only when headphones are plugged in, and enters power-saving mode when they are unplugged or playback is paused.
RGB playback light
A small light glows during playback, its colour showing the sample rate: blue for 44.1–48kHz, green for 88.2–96kHz, yellow for 176.4–192kHz, purple for 352.8–384kHz and white for DSD64, DSD128 and DSD256.

- It has a USB-C plug for USB-C phones, tablets and computers; iPhones with a Lightning port need a suitable Lightning to USB-C adapter.
