Read the full description
The HiFiMAN Edition XV is the latest version of HiFiMAN’s Edition X open-back planar headphone. It uses new rare-earth-free magnets with the sensitivity of rare-earth designs, a second-generation NEO Supernano diaphragm that is far thinner than before, and a lighter, more adjustable headband.
A faster, thinner diaphragm
The second-generation Supernano diaphragm is only 60% as thick as the first, so it is lighter and moves more quickly, for sharper transients, finer detail and better dynamics.
Magnets without rare earths
HiFiMAN’s enhanced magnet uses rare-earth-free permanent magnet material in a carefully shaped structure. HiFiMAN says it matches the sensitivity and control of rare-earth magnets while reducing distortion, with a lower environmental cost.

Good to know
- At 12Ω and 92dB it is easy to drive, but a good headphone amplifier brings out its best.
- The cable uses standard 3.5mm sockets, so replacements and upgrades are easy to find.
