HiFiMAN Arya Planar Headphones - Stealth Magnet Version

The HiFiMAN Arya Stealth Magnet Version is an open-back planar magnetic headphone that HiFiMAN calls stunning audio value. It combines three of HiFiMAN’s core technologies, a Nanometer Thickness Diaphragm, acoustically invisible Stealth Magnets and the patented Window Shade grille, in the classic HE1000 shape with a bold all-black finish, for a wide, open and remarkably clear sound.

Nanometer Thickness Diaphragm

Planar magnetic headphones make sound with a very thin film moving close to a magnet, rather than a cone. The thinner the film, the lower its mass, for faster response and lower distortion. The Arya’s diaphragm is so thin, measured in nanometres, that it would be invisible to the naked eye seen from the side, with a submicron-thick conductor on its surface. HiFiMAN developed this breakthrough technology, the first of its kind in headphones; the material is extremely challenging to work with, and it is the cornerstone of the Arya’s sound.

Acoustically invisible Stealth Magnets

Conventional magnets disturb the sound waves passing through them. The special shape of HiFiMAN’s Stealth Magnets lets the waves pass without generating interference: the design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing the wave diffraction turbulence that degrades sound, for a pure, accurate, full-range output.

The patented Window Shade system

Created to protect the driver while optimising the open-back design, the Window Shade grille is precisely structured for greater openness and stops secondary reflections of the sound waves, avoiding unwanted vibration and distortion. The result is a wider soundstage, outstanding imaging and remarkable clarity, and a distinctive high-tech look.

Comfort and construction

Asymmetrical earcups follow the natural shape of the human ear. The high-quality metal headband is designed for extra strength, and special high-grade plastic keeps the weight down for comfort and rugged durability. To adjust the fit, move each earcup up or down until the headband rests comfortably on your head and the cups surround your ears.

Bold black, with a replaceable cable

The classic HE1000-style shape, glossy black headband and matte-black cups and grille make the Arya a statement of both looks and sound. Sturdy 3.5mm sockets on each earcup make the cable easy to swap, for durability and customisation. The supplied crystalline copper cable has a jet-black woven finish and a 6.35mm plug; L and R are marked inside the headband, and with the cable fitted correctly it connects towards the front of each earcup.
