The Grado SR325x is the metal-housed model of Grado’s Prestige Series. Its brushed aluminium housing brings, in Grado’s words, a surgical precision you won’t find in the rest of the series, with better imaging of the space between instruments for a clearer picture of the soundstage. A fourth-generation 44mm X Series driver, an 8-conductor cable and a leather headband complete it, and each pair is hand-assembled in Brooklyn.
Signature Grado sound
Grado drivers are prized for clarity and range, revealing new notes and details in songs heard hundreds of times. With superlative tonal balance, dynamics, imaging and realism, the SR325x gives an extremely detailed presentation, with deep, impactful bass and a lively, open sound that recreates the ambience of the room.
X Series driver
The fourth generation of Grado drivers is tuned specifically for the SR325x. A more powerful magnetic circuit, a voice coil with less effective mass and a reconfigured diaphragm improve the 44mm driver’s efficiency, reduce distortion and preserve the harmonic integrity of the music. The drivers are de-stressed and matched to within 0.05dB.
New cable and headband
The cable and headband were redesigned with the drivers. The 8-conductor cable is now super-annealed copper, in a more durable exterior, revealing even more of the music, and the new leather headband has white stitching unique to the SR325x in the Prestige Series. The earcups swivel and the F cushions can be replaced.
Open air
The open-air design keeps you connected to your surroundings, so you won’t miss the doorbell, and suits quiet places. High sensitivity gives plenty of volume even from lower-powered devices such as phones and tablets.
Hand-built in Brooklyn
Grado was founded on a kitchen table in 1953. Each SR325x goes from workbench to workbench in Brooklyn until it is ready for your ears.
