The FiiO TRUST LD-UB1 is a USB-C to stereo RCA cable with a hi-fi DAC chip built in. It turns the digital output of a phone or music player into an analogue signal for RCA inputs, at up to 32-bit/384kHz.
What it’s for
FiiO designed it for Android USB-C phones and players paired with amplifiers and powered speakers that have left and right RCA inputs. It is a simple way to play music from your phone through a hi-fi system without a separate DAC.
Good to know
- It needs a USB-C port that outputs digital audio (USB Audio), as Android phones and most players do.
Silver-plated oxygen-free copper
TRUST cables use high-purity, silver-plated oxygen-free copper, with a shielding layer woven from graphene and pure copper to keep out interference.
Made to be handled
The plug housings are injection-moulded in one piece from engineering plastic, which protects the contacts and stops the cable working loose, and FiiO’s curved “Arc” grip makes them easy to plug in and pull out. A flexible PVC sheath sits under a glossy polyester braid in black, purple and silver, with each core reinforced by 500D nylon filament. FiiO tests TRUST cables with 5,000 plug-in cycles, salt-spray corrosion tests and load-bearing tests.
TRUST or LINK?
TRUST is FiiO’s affordable cable range, designed to be a safe choice you can buy without worrying. FiiO’s LINK cables move up to monocrystalline copper, aluminium plugs and extra shielding. For a 3.5mm input, choose the TRUST LT-3.5.
