MEET THE FIIO
A compact desktop DAC/amp with a fully differential 24-bit R2R array, NOS/OS modes and up to 1300mW per channel.
192 precision thin-film resistors for clean output and a dark background.
Switch freely between two distinct sound characters.
Up to 1300mW per channel with three gain levels and 6.35mm and 4.4mm outputs.
The FiiO K11 R2R is a compact desktop DAC and headphone amplifier built around FiiO’s own fully differential 24-bit R2R resistor ladder instead of an off-the-shelf DAC chip, for a smooth, rich, organic sound. Switchable NOS and OS modes give two flavours of it. A 6.35mm and a 4.4mm balanced output deliver up to 1,300mW per channel, with three gain levels, USB, optical and coaxial inputs, an RCA line/pre output and a clear LCD screen. It won Gold Awards in both the Life Style and Pure Audio categories of Japan’s VGP 2025 Summer awards.

FiiO’s newly developed four-channel R2R DAC uses 2 × 48 precision thin-film resistors per channel, 192 in all, with 0.1% tolerance and low temperature drift (30ppm). Because the design is fully differential, it produces less noise and fewer harmonics than a typical R2R layout, for a darker, quieter background and what FiiO calls a unique and charming sound.
NOS (non-oversampling) mode decodes at the original sample rate, for an authentic, organic and captivating sound. OS (oversampling) mode upsamples everything to 384kHz for more refined, detailed and clear playback. You can switch freely between them to suit the music. Over USB the K11 R2R accepts PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, decoded at true 24-bit by the ladder; DSD256 needs the source set to native DSD output, and is converted to PCM inside.

Audio from the USB receiver passes through a digital audio bridge and an FPGA to the R2R DAC. Two TI OPA1642 op-amps then filter it and convert it to a single-ended signal, before the NJW1195A volume controller, a four-channel resistor-ladder electronic potentiometer with low noise and distortion, sets the level precisely. Finally, two SGM8262 op-amps invert and amplify it for the single-ended and balanced outputs. A headphone protection circuit, DC protection and pop-noise suppression keep your headphones safe.

Into 32Ω the balanced 4.4mm output delivers 1,300mW + 1,300mW, enough to unlock the potential of many demanding headphones, while three gain levels with their own volume curves suit everything from sensitive in-ear monitors to hard-to-drive over-ears.
| 4.4mm balanced | 1,300mW/ch @ 32Ω · 520mW/ch @ 16Ω · 220mW/ch @ 300Ω · <1.5Ω · for 8–350Ω headphones |

Seventeen low-noise LDO regulators and two DC-DC converters create dedicated supply rails (−9V, 8V, ±7.5V, ±6V, 5.4V, 3.3V, 1.8V and 1.2V), fed by an external custom 12V switching power supply. Beryl solid capacitors with ultra-low ESR keep the supply stable and clean. A passivated phosphor-copper shielding cover protects the circuits from interference, and thermal silicone gel and the aluminium alloy case carry heat away from the amplifier. The RCA sockets are pressed metal for a solid, durable connection.

A single multi-function knob turns the K11 R2R on and off, sets the volume and runs the menus. Double-press it to switch between headphone (PO), preamp (PRE) and line out (LO) modes; each mode remembers its own volume. The high-contrast LCD is always on without burn-in and shows the sample rate, volume, gain and output mode. The RGB FiiO logo also shows the sample rate: cyan for 48kHz and below, yellow above 48kHz and green for DSD. Its brightness, colour and effects are adjustable, and it is lit evenly by six LED strips. A smart power-saving mode drops into low power when no signal arrives for a long time, and wakes when music returns.
