FiiO JD10 In Ear Earphone - 3.5mm or Type C version

The FiiO JD10 is FiiO’s second-generation affordable in-ear monitor, following the popular JD1 with the same “dual high” aim: high sound quality at a high-value price, to be the standard for entry-level earphones. A 10mm polymer composite driver, a dual-cavity design, an ultra-fine 0.033mm voice coil and an external N52 magnet sit in an earpiece weighing just 3.7g, with an in-line mic and controls. Choose the 3.5mm JD10 with a detachable 2-pin cable, or the JD10 TC with a USB-C plug, its own DSP decoding up to 384kHz/24-bit and six sound presets. It is Hi-Res Audio certified and won a VGP 2025 Summer award.

A 10mm polymer composite diaphragm

To set the benchmark for entry-level sound, FiiO chose a 10mm polymer composite diaphragm that is rigid, low in distortion and well damped. It gives rich, full bass that blends with the mids and treble, and careful tuning that uses its rigidity makes the JD10 unusually resolving for its class, reproducing subtle details.

Dual-cavity design

Each of the two acoustic cavities has its own damping, precisely controlling the airflow to reduce distortion and help the diaphragm move freely and extend the bass. With complex music, the JD10 captures more nuance in the bass: fast and detailed.

Ultra-fine voice coil, external N52 magnet

A special Japanese copper-clad aluminium voice coil with wire just 0.033mm thick greatly reduces the moving mass, so the driver reaches higher volumes easily with better transients, for a cleaner sound. An external magnet design allows a larger magnet that surrounds the voice coil more effectively for a more powerful sound, using N52 neodymium for plentiful, even force.

Light as a feather

Each earpiece weighs only 3.7g, among the lightest in its class, so you can listen for hours without fatigue. Choose transparent black or transparent.

3.5mm version: detachable cable with mic

The 3.5mm JD10 uses a high-purity oxygen-free copper cable with standard 0.78mm 2-pin connectors, so you can upgrade it later. Its three-button in-line control and high-definition microphone change the volume with the up and down buttons, and play, pause and answer or end calls with the middle button.

JD10 TC: a DAC in the plug

The Type-C version has a fixed cable with an independent high-performance DSP chip in its USB-C plug. Unlike the audio built into phones and computers, it receives the digital signal directly over USB-C and decodes up to 384kHz/24-bit, among the best in its class. It works with Windows, macOS, iOS and Android without drivers.

Acoustic engineer Tweed created six presets for the TC; press + and − together until you hear a tone to switch. It starts on Default the first time, then remembers your last choice.

On the TC’s controls, + and − change the volume; the middle button plays and pauses or answers and ends calls, double-press skips forward, triple-press goes back, and a long press calls your voice assistant (depending on your device).
