Read the full description
The FiiO Jade Audio JT1 is an affordable closed-back, over-ear headphone that puts sound quality first. A large 50mm dynamic driver with a PEK, PU and aluminium composite diaphragm, a brass gasket, N52 magnets and a high-tension CCAW voice coil give a natural, accurate sound with a wide soundstage and powerful yet well-controlled bass. It is easy to drive, even from a USB dongle, the cable detaches, and the included cable has a microphone for calls and gaming. A self-adjusting, leather-wrapped headband keeps it comfortable on long sessions.
Shaped by listeners
FiiO didn’t only rely on its trusted listeners when developing the JT1. It ran a large research campaign: it studied many of the affordable headphones on the market, took in the opinions of reviewers and influencers, and gathered feedback from ordinary listeners, including visitors to audio shows around the world. The aim was a headphone that truly focuses on sound quality.
A lightweight driver with a heavyweight sound
The 50mm dynamic driver is built around a composite polymer diaphragm of PEK, PU and aluminium foil, chosen after FiiO evaluated many materials. Because it is light, the diaphragm moves quickly enough to reproduce even the subtlest details, and a brass gasket supports it for low distortion and a well-extended frequency response (15Hz to 30kHz).
High-end parts for a natural sound
Great sound needs high-quality parts. The JT1 uses high-performance N52 magnets, a high-tension CCAW (copper-clad aluminium wire) voice coil on a paper former and a carefully designed diaphragm, for a natural, accurate sound from the closed cavity, with a wide soundstage and robust, well-controlled bass for a detailed and immersive listen.
Easy to drive
With a light diaphragm and voice coil backed by powerful magnets, the 32Ω JT1 is easy to get great sound from. Even an audio dongle drives it well, and FiiO calls the pairing a brilliant combination.
A detachable cable for more options
The cable plugs into each earcup with a 3.5mm TRS connector, marked blue and red so you can see which side goes where. Because it detaches, you can connect the JT1 to a single-ended or a balanced source with a suitable cable, or use the included cable, which has an in-line microphone for voice chat and gaming. It is about 1.5m long, made of oxygen-free copper, with a 3.5mm plug and a 6.35mm adapter for hi-fi equipment.
Adaptive headband, simple and elegant design
The leather-wrapped headband adjusts itself, automatically fitting the headphones to your head for comfortable, enjoyable listening. A stainless steel headband is paired with lightweight ABS cups that house the drivers, each finished with a star-shaped, hollow aluminium cover. The result is light, simple and elegant: practical and attractive.
