FiiO FG3 Over-Ear Gaming Headset with Noise Cancelling Microphone

The FiiO FG3 is FiiO’s first gaming headset, bringing more than a decade of hi-fi acoustics and tuning into a new arena. Each closed-back ear cup has a coaxial pair of dynamic drivers, 50mm and 16mm, for pinpoint positioning, a dual-core DSP adds tuned 7.1 virtual surround and game modes, and a detachable boom microphone with ENC noise cancellation keeps your voice clear. It is driver-free over USB-C (with a USB-A adapter) on PCs, PlayStation and Switch, folds for travel and is Hi-Res Audio certified.

Coaxial 50mm + 16mm drivers

The two drivers sit on one axis, so sound radiates from a single point and phase and direction stay highly consistent, the core of accurate positional audio in games. An electronic two-way crossover splits the range: the 50mm composite-diaphragm driver handles the mids and bass, for punchier dynamics and clear teammate voices and more immersion in Souls-like and horror games, while the 16mm titanium-plated driver handles the highs, picking up the faintest footsteps and sharpening environmental awareness. Together they widen the frequency response (10Hz–40kHz) and soundstage.

Dual-core DSP, hi-res DAC and 80mW amp

Engineered to hi-fi standards, a dual-core DSP chip handles complex audio processing with low latency and fast response. A built-in DAC decodes up to 192kHz/24-bit, and a dedicated headphone amplifier delivers up to 80mW, for clarity from subtle footsteps and rustling leaves to cinematic explosions.

Tuned 7.1 virtual surround

A custom-tuned 7.1 virtual surround algorithm builds an enveloping 360° soundstage beyond normal stereo, placing impacts, flybys and subtle cues around you. It is active in the Cinema and Action modes.

Game modes and EQ

Pick a preset from the cable or FIIO Control WEB: FPS sharpens footsteps and spatial layering while suppressing explosive rumbles; Action (ACT) boosts the impact of AAA games with 7.1 surround; MOBA brings out ability and environmental cues and teammate voices; Rhythm (MUG) tightens bass and musical detail; Cinema adds 7.1 surround, dialogue clarity and dynamics; and Music suits everyday listening. A 10-band custom EQ can be saved to the headset, all from the browser at fiiocontrol.fiio.com with nothing to install.

A clear, detachable microphone

The detachable boom microphone uses an ENC (environmental noise cancellation) algorithm that filters out noise such as keyboard and mouse clicks and isolates your voice, so commands come through clearly. Sidetone, processed in hardware for low latency, lets you hear yourself; switch it on or off and set its level in FIIO Control WEB.

In-line controls

The cable puts everything at your fingertips without leaving the keyboard: volume up and down (press to mute), a mode button (blue for gaming, orange for cinema, green for music) and a microphone mute (red light).

Comfortable for long sessions

Woven mesh earpads are breathable and sweat-resistant, over soft memory foam that adapts to your face and spreads the pressure. The closed back isolates outside noise and keeps leakage low, the hi-fi-grade stainless-steel headband is built to last, and the earpads can be swapped. The headset weighs about 315g with the microphone and folds compactly for a bag.

Plug and play, everywhere

No drivers or software are needed: it works on Windows 7 to 11, laptops, phones and, with automatic switching between UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0, on PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.
