The FiiO DARKSIDE MINI is a compact noise-reduction power supply that gives a clean, stable 5V at 2.5A to DACs, streamers and other digital audio equipment. Made with hi-fi systems in mind, it combines intelligent noise-suppression circuitry with an optimised transformer to stop electrical interference before it reaches your equipment; FiiO rates it for up to 40dB of noise reduction. Part of FiiO’s DARKSIDE power series, it is a simple upgrade where a full-size specialist supply would be unnecessary or impractical.
Intelligent noise reduction
Rather than relying only on conventional filtering, the DARKSIDE MINI uses an intelligent control chip to manage the output current waveform, actively reducing unwanted electrical interference so that power noise has less influence on sensitive audio circuits.
An optimised transformer
FiiO optimised the internal transformer structure to reduce fluctuations and interference within the supply. Together with the noise-reduction circuitry, this gives enhanced dynamic noise suppression and keeps electrical noise away from the audio signal, for cleaner, more stable power.
Quiet, stable 5V power
The stable 5V, 2.5A DC output gives compatible hi-fi equipment a consistent power source, and the compact plug-in format suits desktop systems where space is tight.
Connects to many devices
The main output is a standard 5.5 × 2.1mm DC plug (centre positive), and four supplied adapters convert it to USB-C, USB-A, 3.5 × 1.35mm and 4.0 × 1.7mm, so it can power digital audio equipment with many different power inputs.
