Read the full description
The iBasso IT05 is a single dynamic driver in-ear monitor from iBasso’s “In Tune” range, built around a new 11mm chrome-plated driver developed by iBasso’s R&D team. CNC-machined metal shells with distinctive faceplates, a brass and stainless steel acoustic chamber, three tuning filters and two high-quality cables, 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced, complete it.
A chrome-plated 11mm driver
The 11mm diaphragm is made of a nanomaterial coated with chrome using an advanced sputtering process, just 0.007mm thick. The very stiff chrome extends and details the treble, while the flexible diaphragm keeps the bass deep and powerful and the sound full. The dome is shaped to control the diaphragm’s movement better, and a special metal ring damps split vibrations for a cleaner sound. A 1.6T magnet system controls the stiff, thin diaphragm precisely, for clear bass impact, great dynamics and fast transients.
Dual Helmholtz resonator, brass and steel
A dual Helmholtz resonator, a special acoustic structure, gives the bass more texture and extension while absorbing high-frequency standing waves for a smooth, natural sound. The driver housing combines two materials: dense brass for lower resonance and distortion, and stainless steel for detailed, airy treble. Together they give a natural yet technically excellent sound.
Built to last, comfortable to wear
The shells are CNC-machined from strong but light metal and ergonomically shaped to sit comfortably for hours, with eye-catching faceplates. They use MMCX connectors.
Two cables and three filters
- 3.5mm single-ended: 4-wire high-purity oxygen-free copper with an elegant black braid.
- 4.4mm balanced: 8-core hybrid, four cores of 6N OCC copper in black insulation and four of silver-plated 6N OCC copper in clear insulation.
- Plugs: both cables use iBasso’s own patented stainless-steel plug housings.
- Filters: silver (reference), black (balance) and gold (bass) let you fine-tune the sound.
