The iBasso 3T-154 is a single dynamic driver in-ear monitor named after its two headline features: around 3 Tesla of magnetic flux and a 15.4mm diaphragm, about as large as a driver can be in an IEM. iBasso pairs them for the dynamics of live music, adds a beryllium-plated, embossed diaphragm for rigidity and precision, and houses it all in a light, strong magnesium alloy shell, with a silver-plated copper cable and swappable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.

A 15.4mm diaphragm for live-music dynamics

A 15.4mm diaphragm has 137% more area than a common 10mm one, giving excellent sound pressure. Combined with about 3T of magnetic flux from an N55 neodymium magnet, iBasso says it delivers the most superb dynamics you have heard from an IEM.

A beryllium-plated, embossed diaphragm

The beryllium-plated diaphragm has remarkable internal damping and exceptional rigidity, and embossing makes it more rigid still, drastically reducing distortion while improving precision. It sits in a high-precision CNC diaphragm bracket and is driven by a Japanese Daikoku CCAW (copper-clad aluminium wire) voice coil.

A lighter, stronger magnesium alloy shell

The shell is high-hardness magnesium alloy, about 36% lighter than aluminium alloy and 78% lighter than stainless steel for the same volume. It is also more rigid and impact-resistant, reduces resonance from the driver and is very stable. Each earpiece weighs 18.8g without the cable, and the nozzles are replaceable.

Swappable plugs with 1.2mm pins

The cable ends in iBasso’s quick-switch plug system with 1.2mm pins, whose cross-section is 2.37 times that of a 0.78mm pin. To swap plugs, line up the D-shaped edges of the male and female parts, press them gently together and tighten the screw with the supplied H1.5 hex screwdriver; if you change plugs often, there is no need to tighten it.

A standard two-pin cable

The earphones use the standard 0.78mm two-pin connection, so replacement and upgrade cables are easy to find, and the supplied cable is high-purity silver-plated copper.
