MEET THE HiFiMAN
An all-in-one DAC, Class A headphone amp, preamp and WiFi/Ethernet streamer with the HYMALAYA PRO R2R DAC and 4,000mW balanced.
HiFiMAN's own resistor-ladder DAC for detail and musicality.
Up to 4,000mW at 32Ω from XLR 4-pin and 4.4mm outputs.
WiFi and Ethernet playback up to PCM 768kHz and DSD512.
The HiFiMAN Serenade is a DAC, Class A headphone amplifier, preamplifier and network streamer in one desktop unit. HiFiMAN’s own HYMALAYA PRO R2R DAC handles the conversion, built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet play music over your home network at up to 768kHz or DSD512, and the balanced outputs deliver 4,000mW into 32Ω, enough for everything from everyday dynamic headphones to demanding planars.

Instead of an off-the-shelf DAC chip, HYMALAYA PRO uses HiFiMAN’s own resistor-ladder design, equivalent to two Burr-Brown PCM1704K chips in a balanced connection. A new FPGA algorithm and 0.01% precision resistors give performance that HiFiMAN says surpasses the PCM1704 in every way, with THD of 0.0012% at -6dB.

A legendary FET operational amplifier with a discrete-component low-pass filter gives detailed, high-precision, low-noise sound, and the signal path has no coupling capacitors, removing the nonlinear distortion of electrolytic capacitors for pure, full-range output.
The amplifier is a Class A design with a precisely matched, fully discrete transistor circuit, so it inherits the noble tone of HiFiMAN’s Prelude amplifier.

A 50W toroidal transformer with a high-quality full-band iron core, wound with oxygen-free copper, works with nearly 30,000µF of filter capacitance and a multi-stage, multi-channel, low-noise, high-speed regulator circuit for pure, fast power.

LAN, USB (XMOS XU316), coaxial and optical inputs feed the HYMALAYA PRO converter; an output selector then sends the signal to the DAC outputs (4.5V XLR, 2.2V RCA), the variable preamp outputs or the balanced Class A headphone amplifier (4-pin XLR, 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm). An RCA analogue input is also included. The digital module can be upgraded.
