Read the full description
The HiFiMAN Edition XS is an open-back planar magnetic headphone, the successor to HiFiMAN’s award-winning Edition X. It adds two of HiFiMAN’s key technologies, the NEO “supernano” diaphragm and Stealth Magnets, first developed for the flagship Susvara, and at 18Ω it is easy to drive, bringing the depth and range of well-recorded music to an affordably priced headphone.
A major upgrade of the Edition X
HiFiMAN tuned the Edition XS for natural, pure sound with high-resolution clarity and detail: a wide, natural soundstage that puts you in the best seat in the house, with deep bass, lush vocals and energetic treble.
Stealth Magnets
Unlike conventional magnets, the special shape of HiFiMAN’s Stealth Magnets lets sound waves pass through without interference. The design is acoustically transparent, greatly reducing the wave diffraction turbulence that degrades the sound, so the result is accurate and full-range with less distortion.
NEO supernano diaphragm
The NEO supernano diaphragm (NsD) is 75% thinner than HiFiMAN’s earlier designs, giving lightning-fast response and a detailed image with lush, full-range sound and no discernible distortion.
Comfortable headband
The light, ergonomic headband, similar to the one on HiFiMAN’s HE400i, is made for hours of listening: refined matte black outside, with high-grade memory foam inside for a comfortable, elastic fit. The structure is built to keep that fit for years.
Standard 3.5mm sockets
The cups use 3.5mm sockets like those on most audio devices, so the supplied cable is easy to change or replace.
