The HiFiMAN Deva Pro is an open-back planar magnetic headphone that works wired or wireless. It brings HiFiMAN’s NEO “supernano” diaphragm and Stealth Magnets, from a family that includes the flagship Susvara, to a comfortable, easy-to-drive design. Use it with the supplied cable like any hi-fi headphone, or plug the Bluemini R2R module into the left earcup for LDAC and aptX HD Bluetooth through HiFiMAN’s own Himalaya R2R DAC.
NEO supernano diaphragm
HiFiMAN’s NEO supernano diaphragm (NsD) is 80% thinner than its previous designs, for a fast response and a detailed image with lush, full-range sound.
Acoustically invisible Stealth Magnets
Conventional magnets disturb the sound waves passing through them. The special shape of HiFiMAN’s Stealth Magnets lets the waves pass without generating interference: the design is acoustically transparent, dramatically reducing the wave diffraction turbulence that degrades sound, for a pure, accurate, full-range output.
Bluemini R2R: small but mighty
The Bluemini R2R plugs into the left earcup and adds Bluetooth 5.0 on a Qualcomm QCC5124, with LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC. Inside is HiFiMAN’s Himalaya, an ultra-small R2R (resistor-ladder) DAC built on a non-oversampling concept, with low energy consumption and high sample rates. HiFiMAN measures it at a 120dB signal-to-noise ratio and 0.0022% THD while using about 20mW, a small fraction of what typical DAC chips draw. The Bluemini R2R weighs 25g, gives 6 to 7 hours per charge and measures 114dB SNR; when you don’t need it, unplug it and listen wired without the extra weight.
Wired, two ways
Each earcup has a 3.5mm socket for the supplied dual-sided 3.5mm TRS cable. The left socket also accepts a single-sided 3.5mm TRRS balanced cable (not included), the same socket the Bluemini uses. The Deva Pro is not compatible with TS (mono) cables, so check the wiring before using an aftermarket cable.
