The HiFiMAN Audivina LE is a closed-back planar magnetic studio headphone that builds on the acoustic foundation of the original Audivina at a more accessible price. Its sealed cavity, inspired by the acoustics of the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, gives a far wider soundstage than most closed designs, and HiFiMAN’s Stealth Magnets, NEO Supernano Diaphragm and a new, lighter Gen 2 headband complete it. Three cables are included.
Closed back, open soundstage
Closed-back headphones often suffer from a narrow soundstage and bass echo inside the cup. Through precise engineering of its sealed cavity, inspired by the Bayreuth Festspielhaus, the Audivina LE effectively resolves both.
A new material breakthrough
For the LE, HiFiMAN further optimised the earcup shell through material selection, structural reinforcement and surface texturing. This minimises resonance from the housing and adds a precisely tuned bass lift, striking a balance between studio-monitor accuracy and musical enjoyment, while reducing weight and improving long-term comfort and durability.
Stealth Magnets and supernano diaphragm
The special shape of HiFiMAN’s Stealth Magnets lets sound waves pass without interference, dramatically reducing wave-diffraction turbulence for pure, accurate, full-range sound. The NEO supernano diaphragm, 80% thinner than previous designs at just 1–2 microns, gives a faster, more detailed response while keeping a lush musicality.
A new composite headband
HiFiMAN’s Gen 2 composite headband is 20–30g lighter, with rotatable hinges for better comfort, and the earpads are eco-friendly, silky leatherette with high-tech fabrics, for hours-long listening. The pads can be replaced.
Three cables
Highly reliable sockets keep contact resistance extremely low without affecting the signal path. A 1.5m 3.5mm cable suits portable players, phones and computers, and 3m XLR balanced and 6.35mm cables suit professional and audiophile amplifiers. Its efficient driver runs from portable players as well as desktop systems.
The name
Audivina combines “Audi”, meaning listening, with the Sanskrit “Vina”, a sitar, a traditional South Asian plucked string instrument whose frets the musician can move to suit the piece being played.
