MEET THE BR15
A Bluetooth 6.0 receiver with aptX Lossless and LDAC, a fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC, and RCA and XLR outputs.
Qualcomm's QCC5181 supports LDAC, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless at up to 2.1Mbps.
192 thin-film resistors in a fully differential design, with NOS and OS modes.
RCA, XLR, coaxial and optical outputs, a 10-band PEQ and remote or app control.
The FiiO BR15 R2R gives your speakers and amplifier a lossless Bluetooth upgrade. A Qualcomm QCC5181 brings Bluetooth 6.0 with aptX Lossless, LDAC and aptX Adaptive, FiiO’s own fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC converts the music with a rich, textured sound, and USB, coaxial and optical inputs make it a complete DAC for your phone, computer, CD player or TV. XLR and RCA line outputs, digital outputs, a colour display, a remote and a global PEQ complete a component that won Headfonics’ Best Wireless Streamer 2025 (Bang for Buck). As FiiO puts it: try wireless hi-fi once and you can’t go back.

The flagship QCC5181 is LE Audio compliant with up to 2.1Mbps of bandwidth. Supporting aptX Lossless within the aptX Adaptive system, it delivers CD-level lossless audio over Bluetooth, along with LDAC, aptX Adaptive at 96kHz/24-bit, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, SBC and LC3, so music, films and streaming video all sound new again through your system. Bluetooth 6.0 and a dedicated external aerial give longer range, better interference resistance, lower latency and a more stable connection.

At its heart is FiiO’s own four-channel, fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC, with 48 high-precision thin-film resistors per channel (192 in all) at 0.1% accuracy and 30ppm temperature drift, for a distinctive, richly textured sound. Compared with R2R designs that aren’t fully differential, it has lower noise and fewer harmonics, for a darker background. NOS mode keeps the original sample rate for an organic, captivating sound; OS mode upsamples to 96, 192 (the default) or 384kHz for an even more refined, clear sound. DSD plays natively (slightly quieter than PCM, which is normal).

Switch between Bluetooth, USB (up to 384kHz/32-bit, DSD256 and full MQA), coaxial and optical (up to 192kHz/24-bit and DSD64) for phones, PCs, CD players, TVs and DVD players. FiiO suggests systems such as a phone over Bluetooth into the BR15 R2R and a K15 headphone amplifier, a phone over USB into a K11, or an SR11 streamer feeding it over S/PDIF into a power amplifier and passive speakers.

Two pairs of RCA outputs (2.2Vrms) and an XLR balanced output (4.4Vrms) connect to active speakers, amplifiers and headphone amps, and coaxial and optical outputs (up to 192kHz/24-bit) feed an external DAC. The whole path, from the R2R DAC and low-pass filter to the NJW1195A volume control, is fully differential, for low noise, low distortion and wide dynamic range (up to 119dB signal-to-noise from XLR), with a pop-noise elimination system.

The 10-band PEQ works across every mode, with presets such as retro and pop, and lets you simulate or correct your equipment’s response and import, export, share and save curves in the FiiO Control app. AutoEQ does the work for you: upload or select your headphones’ data and a target curve. With PEQ on, the maximum rate is 192kHz/24-bit, and AutoEQ isn’t available in Bluetooth mode.

A high-quality internal switching supply keeps the power clean, and an external DC input (5V, at least 2A, 5.5 × 2.1mm) lets you add a high-performance linear supply for a different sound; the BR15 R2R switches to DC automatically when it is connected.
Two knobs and a 1.47-inch colour display make desk use easy: the screen shows the sample rate, volume, EQ and Bluetooth codec, with themes, and the song title, artist and lyrics in Bluetooth mode when your app supports it. For a system across the room, use the included infrared remote (its track and play buttons work in Bluetooth mode) or the FiiO Control app. The knob lights can be set to any colour, always on or pulsing. It is Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified.
