Dunu SA6 MK2 6 BA Driver Earphones

The DUNU SA6 MKII is a Studio Series in-ear monitor with six high-performance balanced armature drivers per side, from Sonion and Knowles, joined by a three-way crossover for clean division between bass, mids and treble. A switch on each earpiece flicks between two tunings, the hand-poured resin shells carry solid stabilised wood faceplates (no two patterns are the same), and DUNU’s Hulk Pro Mini cable comes as standard with swappable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.

Six balanced armatures

• Bass: a Sonion AcuPass vented dual woofer.
• Mids: two Knowles custom midrange drivers.
• Treble: a Knowles custom dual tweeter.

Internal wiring is Furukawa single-crystal copper, silver-plated. Based on feedback on the original Studio SA6 and the limited-edition SA6 Ultra, DUNU revamped the tuning for users worldwide: deeper low-end impact, cleaner and more accurate mids, and airier, wider treble. Overall it is neutral with a slightly boosted low end, with crisp clarity, outstanding resolution, a lovely tone and punchy bass that suits many genres.

Two signatures at the flick of a switch

The tuning switch is easy to move with a fingertip, no tool needed. Position I is DUNU’s Default Signature, accurate and balanced. Position ON is Atmospheric Immersion, DUNU’s ambience mode, which adds a little more punch to the low end.

Handcrafted shells

The shells are hand-poured from German Nice-Fit UV acrylic resin, in a shape optimised for an ergonomic, comfortable fit. The faceplates are high-grade stabilised wood with red patterns, handcrafted so that every pair looks different.

Hulk Pro Mini cable with Q-Lock Plus

As with the SA6 Ultra, the SA6 MKII comes with DUNU’s Hulk Pro Mini cable. It is built on the same architecture as the original Hulk Pro, but lighter, with 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and a length of 1.2m. DUNU’s patented Q-Lock Plus modular plug system lets you swap terminations: 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs are included, and the system also supports a 2.5mm plug (not included).

Along with the cable, you get a full set of tips, including DUNU’s S&S tips in an XL size, and a newly designed carry case with the DUNU logo, so it is ready to go straight out of the box.
