Read the full description
The Cayin YD01 Fantasy is Cayin’s first single dynamic driver in-ear monitor. A 10.3mm dual-cavity driver with a beryllium-plated bio-cellulose diaphragm sits in mirror-polished 316 stainless steel shells, and a custom cable with OCC copper and silver-plated cores completes it. At 37Ω and 108dB it runs happily from a phone, and shines with a hi-res player.
Shaped to touch your heart
The design is elegantly inspired by stringed musical instruments, combining lines and curves to pair strength with gentleness.
Dual cavity, two-way magnetic structure
An additional rear cavity lets the sound wave flow smoothly and reduces resonance, for more clarity and a more holographic soundstage. A two-way magnetic structure increases the magnetic flux, giving excellent control of the diaphragm and reproducing low-level details accurately and seamlessly.
Beryllium-plated bio-cellulose diaphragm
The 10.3mm diaphragm is bio-cellulose plated with beryllium, which improves stiffness, reduces resonance and minimises deformation. The result is a fast, accurate, low-distortion response, with clean, non-fatiguing playback and plenty of detail.
Grade 316 stainless steel
Each shell is carefully CNC-machined from Grade 316 surgical stainless steel with a shiny mirror finish, attractive and easy to keep clean.
A custom-designed cable
Cayin designed the cable for the Fantasy from the ground up: four 38-strand conductors with carefully mixed OCC copper and silver-plated cores, for conductivity and signal integrity, with minimal microphonic noise. A gold-plated 3.5mm plug resists corrosion and keeps a good contact over time, the hexagonal aluminium splitter and plug housing are cast from a custom mould to match the earpieces, and gold-plated 0.78mm 2-pin connectors use a non-recessed, extruded design for compatibility and strength.
Comfortable to wear
The ergonomic shape fits into your ear with minimal intrusion. Dual venting tubes for the front and back cavities regulate the internal pressure, so it stays comfortable after hours of listening, and a good fit isolates you from outside noise (about 26dB). Twelve pairs of ear tips in different sizes and softness let you find the right seal.
