Dunu Glacier Nine Driver Tribrid In Ear Monitors

The DUNU Glacier is DUNU’s flagship tribrid in-ear monitor, inspired by the smooth, icy nature of glaciers. Each side has nine drivers: one dynamic driver, four custom balanced armatures and four Sonion electrostatic (EST) drivers, controlled by a dual four-way crossover. DUNU tuned it for a strong, punchy low end, an accurate midrange and exceptional treble detail, with a smooth, natural and lively tone and a massive soundstage. The organically curved shells are 904L stainless steel, hand-polished to a mirror finish and DLC coated.

Nine drivers per side

DUNU chose each driver for true flagship-level acoustics, for a grand, majestic sound:

• Dynamic driver: a precision-tuned unit tailored for the bass.
• Four balanced armatures: customised units for the mid and high frequencies.
• Four Sonion EST drivers: for an airy, open treble and a greater sense of space and ambience.

Dual four-way crossover

Inside is a complex, fully organic acoustic cavity structure with a dual four-way crossover: an independent, four-channel acoustic sound-guide and electronic crossover controller that precisely controls the frequency response, so each driver group performs consistently.

904L steel shells

The shells’ fully organic, complex curves are shaped like flowing glacier water. DUNU carves them from solid 904L stainless steel, and says the Glacier was the first in-ear monitor on the market with 904L shells. Each is hand-polished to a mirror finish, then given a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating that preserves the look and adds durability. Each earpiece weighs 17.5g.

A new flagship cable

DUNU designed a brand-new cable for the Glacier, with the same tuning profile as its flagship Hulk Pro cable, in a snowy white outer sleeve to match the icy theme. It has eight cores of refined, high-purity monocrystalline copper, triple-layer insulation and shock-absorbing nylon braiding, with high-quality MMCX connectors. DUNU’s patented Q-Lock Plus quick-switch modular plugs, recoloured white for the Glacier, swap between the included 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs.

Accessories

The Glacier comes with an extensive set of accessories, including DUNU Candy and S&S ear tips, SpinFit CP145 tips and a newly designed storage pouch.
