The FiiO SNOWSKY Melody is a dongle DAC and headphone amplifier in a solid-wood case, combining natural wood with modern hi-fi. Two Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, a high-performance USB chip and an audiophile DSP play PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, with a 10-band PEQ, up to 250mW per channel from the 4.4mm balanced output and a 3.5mm output that supports in-line mics and S/PDIF. An ultra-low-power mode protects your phone’s battery. It is Hi-Res Audio certified; choose maple or walnut.
Solid wood, made to age beautifully
Each Melody is made from aged premium wood from North America, so each has its own texture and colour. Dozens of processes, including CNC carving, polishing, eco-friendly oiling and air drying, stabilise the wood, which darkens naturally over time and becomes ever smoother and more lustrous. FiiO’s signature arc runs across the case and buttons, a blade-like line against the warm wood that also fits your fingertip.

With a high-performance USB chip, an audiophile-grade DSP and two Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, FiiO’s hardware and software teams pushed the Melody to new heights in measurements, heat and power use, and in listening. It decodes PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256.

A 10-band PEQ, and more in the app
The built-in DSP gives a high-precision 10-band PEQ: as well as the presets, three custom profiles let you tune the sound yourself, and you can save and share curves through the FiiO Control app or FiiO’s web page. The app also sets the DAC work mode (Class AB or Class H), S/PDIF output, volume mode and channel balance. (Because of iOS restrictions, the app can’t connect to the Melody from an iPhone; use the web page instead.)
3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs
The 3.5mm output works with in-line controls and microphones, including call recording, and with an adapter cable it outputs S/PDIF coaxial to other audio and video equipment. The 4.4mm balanced output gives more power and more detail with balanced headphone cables.
Two volume modes and two button modes
Choose 60 volume steps for quick adjustment or 120 for fine adjustment (set in the FiiO Control app or on the web page), and choose how the buttons behave:

An RGB sample-rate light
A yellow, green or blue light on the side button shows the sample rate at a glance; it can be turned off in the FiiO Control app on Android.
Easy on your phone’s battery
A built-in microprocessor and FiiO’s software keep power use and heat low. When playback stops, standby draw falls below 10mA, and a sleep timer puts the Melody to sleep after a set time, so you won’t wake up to a dead phone.
Works with everything
The cable detaches, and the Melody works with Android, iOS, Windows and Mac. Switch between UAC 2.0 and UAC 1.0; UAC 1.0 makes it compatible with devices such as the PS5 and Nintendo Switch for gaming.

Good to know
- In-line controls and calls may not work on iPhones and some Android phones because of system permissions. On Huawei phones they work in UAC 1.0 mode.
- Natural wood: every Melody’s grain and colour is slightly different, and it darkens with age.
