MEET THE R7
An all-in-one desktop player, DAC and amp with FiiO's 24-bit R2R DAC, Android 13 on a Snapdragon 680 and a 5.5-inch screen.
Fully differential, with 192 precision 0.1% thin-film resistors.
Snapdragon 680, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage for streaming apps.
An XMOS XU316 for PCM 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512 from your computer.
The FiiO R7 R2R is an all-in-one desktop music player, streamer, DAC, headphone amplifier, digital transport and USB sound card, built to be the heart of a compact hi-fi system. It is built around FiiO’s own fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC, runs Android 13 on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and has a 5.5-inch touch screen, three balanced and single-ended headphone outputs delivering up to 3,700mW into 32Ω, and connections for powered speakers, amplifiers and the rest of your system.

Instead of a conventional DAC chip, the R7 R2R uses FiiO’s self-developed, fully differential, complementary 24-bit R2R resistor-array DAC. Its four channels use a total of 192 precision thin-film resistors with 0.1% tolerance and low temperature drift, giving the natural, smooth presentation R2R is known for while keeping excellent accuracy.
FiiO’s DAPS digital audio processing system pairs a high-capacity FPGA with two custom femtosecond oscillators. It provides a global 10-band PEQ, global lossless playback without sample-rate conversion, All-to-DSD processing and low-jitter S/PDIF output, with coaxial jitter as low as 71.5ps, so the R7 R2R also works as a dedicated digital transport. Auto EQ quickly matches compatible headphone profiles, and the 10-band PEQ lets you fine-tune any band by hand.
A customised Android 13 system runs on Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 680, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, leaving plenty of headroom for streaming apps, large local libraries and future updates. The 5.5-inch portrait touch screen works with physical rotary controls and FiiO’s redesigned interface for a purpose-built desktop feel. Dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz Wi-Fi handles wireless streaming, and a gigabit Ethernet port gives a stable, low-latency connection for network audio.
Switch between Android, Pure Music, AirPlay, USB DAC, Roon Ready, Bluetooth receiver, line input, coaxial and optical modes. As a USB DAC, its XMOS XU316 interface plays PCM up to 768kHz/32-bit and DSD512 from a computer, tablet or phone, for music, films and everything else. The FiiO Control app adds remote control and screen mirroring.
Three front headphone outputs (6.35mm, 4.4mm balanced and 4-pin XLR balanced) and five gain levels (low, medium, high, headphone and super headphone) suit everything from sensitive in-ear monitors to demanding full-size headphones, with up to 3,700mW into 32Ω from the balanced outputs in the highest mode. The fully differential analogue stage uses carefully chosen parts: four Burr-Brown OPA1656 and two OPA1612 op-amps, four Rubycon audio electrolytic and four Rubycon film capacitors, and twelve high-capacity filter capacitors.
On the back are RCA line output, RCA line input and 3-pin XLR balanced line output, coaxial and optical inputs and outputs, gigabit Ethernet, a USB host port, USB-C (USB 3.0), a dedicated USB DAC input and an SD card slot. Four output modes (PO + PRE OUT, PO only, PRE OUT only and LO) set it up for headphones, powered speakers, external amplifiers or a wider hi-fi system.

A built-in 30W switching power supply, with filtering at the AC input, feeds a ±12V supply for the analogue section. A switch on the back selects AC or an external 12V/3A DC input, so you can use a higher-grade supply such as FiiO’s PL50.
