The Shanling SMT1.3 is a network streamer and digital transport: it plays your streaming services, NAS and local files and sends them, bit-perfect, to the DAC of your choice. Shanling built it as a hi-fi source, with an FPGA-assisted I2S output, a dedicated upsampling chip and a 31W linear power supply.
A streamer that is easy to live with
A 64-bit Rockchip processor with 4GB of RAM runs a customised Android 12 system with a cleaner menu, quick playback controls and direct access to your library. Streaming apps such as Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Presto Music are available on the device, it works with DLNA and AirPlay 2, and NAS playback now supports Samba. It connects by gigabit Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi 6.
A true digital transport
Every digital output is there, from I2S and USB at up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD512 to AES/EBU, BNC, coaxial and optical. Accusilicon clocks keep timing precise, and the CT7302CL upsampling chip can convert everything to PCM768 or DSD512 over I2S, or to PCM192 or DSD64 (DoP) over the S/PDIF outputs, to suit your DAC. A potted 31W toroidal transformer gives a clean linear supply.
