The FiiO LC-RC (2024) is an upgrade cable for in-ear monitors with MMCX connectors. It uses genuine Japanese Furukawa monocrystalline copper, refined a second time, with silver-plated monocrystalline copper at the centre of each strand: 480 wires in all, a translucent German TPU sheath, expanded MMCX connectors and swappable 3.5mm and 4.4mm plugs.

A high-end cable should be high quality in every respect. Beyond its materials, the LC-RC 2024 went through careful design of its processing, build and ergonomics, drawing on FiiO’s seventeen years of acoustic design, to fully unleash the potential of your earphones. FiiO says the high-purity Furukawa copper enhances the sound of the earphones.
Genuine Furukawa copper, refined twice
The inner wires come from Furukawa Denki Industrial Co., Ltd in Japan, with official certification. A secondary refining treatment minimises pores, impurities and grain boundaries so the signal travels more freely, and more than 70 steps of drawing and forging turn the copper into high-purity monocrystalline wire just 0.05mm across.
4 strands, 480 wires
More wires mean a larger cross-section, lower resistance and better conductivity. Each of the four main strands has 100 Furukawa monocrystalline copper wires of 0.05mm around a centre of 20 silver-plated monocrystalline copper wires (0.08mm), in a coaxial braid: 480 wires and 22AWG in total. Cables are rarely made with this much high-end material. Joints are made with silver-bearing lead-free solder.
Translucent German TPU
The lustrous translucent German TPU sheath is durable, resists yellowing with long use and doesn’t stiffen in the cold.
Expanded MMCX and swappable plugs
Expanded MMCX connectors fit a wide range of in-ear monitors and give a stable connection that is easy to attach and detach. The cable comes with swappable 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced plugs, so you can quickly match your source.
