These are not bass heavy or noise cancelling so a lo...Read moret of background noise will tend to mask certain frequencies. I have a pair of ATH50Xs and these offer much better detail, especially when plugged in directly to the sound source.
On the physical side these headphones are also very light in weight and the controls are ok to use but a touch fiddly, expect I will get used to the volume, track and mute controls. Haven't tried the microphone for a phone call yet. Would like it if they had a stereo mini-jack connector.
