A Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC plays PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, and the 4.4mm balanced output delivers up to 650mW per channel, with high and low gain for anything from sensitive in-ear monitors to demanding headphones. An ambient light window shows the format, and it is sized to strap neatly to most phones. It won a VGP 2024 Summer award.

True hi-fi from your phone

More and more phones have no headphone socket, more streaming services offer lossless audio, and dongles draw on your phone’s battery.
