Three mechanical keys and a machined knob play and pause, skip tracks and change the volume on your computer or a FiiO player or DAC/amp, and every key and the knob can be reprogrammed as shortcuts or macros. Kailh BOX White switches in hot-swap sockets, RGB lighting and two USB-C ports complete a compact, very tactile desk accessory.

Music control at your fingertips

Music control is what the KB1K does out of the box. When you listen on your computer, it lets you switch songs, adjust the volume and pause or play without reaching for the mouse, with a satisfying feel from the keys and knob that a mouse click can’t match. Connected to a FiiO source such as the R7 desktop streamer, it can also wake the screen and switch output modes. FiiO lists the K9 Pro, K7, M17 and KA3 among the sources it works with.

Crisp switches you can swap

Kailh BOX White switches give crisp feedback with a satisfying click, whether you’re relaxing with music or working on your next project. They sit in TTC hot-swap sockets, so you can change the switches (and the keycaps) for a different feel or look without soldering.

Programmable keys, knob and lighting

With FiiO’s free FiiO Keyboard software you can redefine every key and the knob, and set key combinations, strings and macros: Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, switching between brush and eraser in Photoshop and changing the brush size, modelling tools, custom scripts and more. That makes the KB1K a productivity tool as well as a music remote. The RGB lighting can run FiiO’s preset effects or your own, and next to a FiiO K7 it matches the amp’s ambient light. Firmware updates come through FiiO’s setting tool.

Thoughtful details

There are two USB-C ports, so you can place the KB1K in whichever orientation suits your desk. An anti-slip, shock-absorbing EVA foam mat underneath keeps it steady. Unlike the original metal KB1, the KB1K’s shell is ABS+PMMA, which keeps a quality feel at a more affordable price.
