Pure Digital Siesta DAB digital radio with alarm clock function and FM

If you haven’t experienced DAB digital radio yet, you’re in for a treat. Select stations by name; check out news, results, track titles and more on the scrolling text display; tune at the touch of a button; and listen in crisp, clear digital-quality sound. And there’s more listening choice on DAB too, in many areas up to twice as many stations compared with FM. The Pure Siesta features a triad of alarms, which can be set as you like. It also has a light dependant resistor to dim the display when the room darkens and support for station naming on FM, thanks to RDS. It also features adjustable sleep and snooze functions, a headphone socket for bedside use and a white on darkblue display showing station information and scrolling text. The Siesta DAB is the first product from the Pure stable that is upgradeable to the additional DAB+ standard, which will soon be commonly used around the globe. Compatibility with the DAB+ standard means you could take the Siesta DAB to, say, Australia, and, having upgraded the firmware inside the unit (for a small cost), tune in to Triple M or 2GB when transmissions begin using the DAB+ standard in 2009.
