Gizmodo writer Mark Wilson runs an experiment on MP3 sound quality. The experiment (which you can be part of) asks users to download small mp3 sound clips and then give your review on the best sound quality. When buying or creating MP3 files, the music has been compressed down, this makes the music file into a small size usually around a few MBs. In this process the song loses some quality as it is compressed and highs and lows may be removed. MP3 files are measured in kbps and usually range in quality from 128kbps to 320kbps, with songs at 320kbps being the highest quality available but taking up more memory space.
