The Wearable WALKMAN® earphones ensure maximum comfort whilst insulating sound through the hybrid silicone structure meaning you can get fully engrossed in your music. Although the W Series is small, it's still packed with well thought out features. The player supports MP3, AAC, WMA (DRM), L-PCM, and WMT music files. Sony has incorporated their QuickCharge feature on this player, the NWZ-W will recharge completely from empty in 3 hours (giving you 12 hours of constant music), however if you don't have that time to wait, the player is able take on enough power from it's stylish docking cradle for 90 minutes playback in just 3 minutes... ideal if you're in a rush to get out of the door and you find your player's just ran out of juice. We took the W series to a variety of locations, including our local Gym and Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre - to let the general public try them out. In the gym, we offered them as demos for their workouts to get a feel for how they worked. Here's what they thought:
