The all new Sony NWZ-A867, what's all the hype about? Well this is Sony's latest offering in there Walkman series, the all new A Series is a funky little MP3 player packed with great features! The A series sports a super responsive 2.8" touch screen so make browsing through your music collection as simple as A,B ,C. The Sony user interface is much the same as the previous walkman range with the icons in a grid fashion on the screen which keeps things really simple. Where the new A series walkman comes into its own is the premium sound quality for audiophiles from the S-Master MX digital amplifier, Bluetooth to stream your music to your car stereo or compatible wireless headphones and the Media Go application which allows you to simply drag and drop music from your computer onto the device. |  |

Compressing a music file to make an MP3 file has some drawbacks, the main things you'll notice when listening to MP3 as opposed to a live recording is clarity and balance have been sacrificed slightly and there will be an element of distortion. Sony set their sound engineers to work on rectifying this to try and bring back the qualities lost in compression so to speak. The new Sony NWZ-A867 has 5 clear audio technologies to give you the best possible listening experience, there is the S-Master MX digital amplifier for great clarity of sound, Clear stereo which provides channel separation for a better stereo experience, Clear Bass which enhances the bass performance reducing distortion at high volume, DSEE which restores the high frequencies lost during audio compression, these technologies together with the EX300 headphones makes your music as faithful to the original recording as possible. |

The touch display on the Sony NWZ-A867 is super responsive with no stutter or slowdown when your flicking through the menus at speed. The screen is a WQVGA (400x249 Pixel) TFT colour display with white LED backlight which give a razor sharp, ultra bright picture with incredible clarity and detail.
The Sony NWZ-A867 has built in Bluetooth which is a fantastic feature for streaming audio to your compatible wireless headphones or car stereo, you can also use this feature to send photos and videos from your Bluetooth enabled phone to the device and view them on the razor sharp, ultra bright 2.8" touch display screen.
The Sony NWZ-A867 has a very simple media on the go application which allows you to simply drag and drop your favourite music, videos, photos and playlists from windows explorer or iTunes, it couldn't be easier, simples!
Now for all you wannabe X-factor winners there is the SensMe application which will turn your Sony NWZ-A867 into karaoke mode or let you lyric sync your music into different moods. When in karaoke mode the lyrics for your songs will pop up at the bottom of the screen in time with the music to help you get your audition spot on while you're waiting.
Language leaning is another cool feature where you can control the playback speed, repeat and rewind functions when you're listening to Muzzy or other audio language learning programme.

The Sony NWZ-A867 has a really elegant, sophisticated feel to it and sound quality which is right up there with the best, a massive 64GB of storage, built-in FM radio, easy to use and full of class features what's not to like?
