 | | | | Press Reviews | | Expert Reviews "Sandisk's Sansa Clip+ is a great little MP3 player. There are small players with better battery life, the controls and screen are a bit small, and its audio quality isn't as rich as we'd like. However, its built-in clip, microSD slot, FM radio and low price all help it to win a Budget Buy award." Full Review Date Added: Monday 04 July, 2011
| | | Trusted Reviews Review The SanDisk Sansa Clip is easily one of our favourite MP3 players to date. So would you look at this...
The flash memory giant has finally released its first new MP3 player in more than a year in the shape of the 'Sansa Clip+' and the main difference here is a welcome one: a microSDHC expansion slot. On the surface of things the player has had a slight refresh with a slimmer, less bulbous design, but with capacities up to 8GB and support to add another 16GB via microSD this is one player that can beat down a 4GB iPod shuffle with its eyes closed. | | | PC MAG Review Bottom Line: A microSD slot has been added, but not a lot else has changed since the last Sansa Clip iteration. Even so, this budget MP3 player still does a lot more than the iPod shuffle—and for less. Full Review Date Added: Friday 20 May, 2011

If you want see videos, photo's, album covers etc. as well, then be prepared to pay a lot extra for the Ipod nano.
The music quality is excellent for such a small device (be sure to select the 'North America' or 'Rest of World' option when selecting the region, to avoid the rediculous EU volume limitations). The menu's and options are simple to use and select. Battery life per charge is very good (been using mine for 40-60mins a day for 2 weeks on a single charge) and the ability to charge from the usb port is a joy. The transfer of your music files/albums is a simple drag an drop, or copy and paste function, which is so much easier and cheaper than itunes.
You'll need to ditch the included earphones (cos they're just naff, cheap and cheerful ones) and get some good quality replacements, to make the most of the sound quality available from the Music EQ function.
The clip seems sturdy enough, and is just the job if you haven't got a suitable pocket available or don't want to cut the blood supply off to your lower arm with one of those 'Lara Croft' style armbands. |
 | Marie Heaton(Date Added: Sunday 18 December, 2011) Well priced and easy to use. If you just need a simple mp3 player that is small and built to last you cant go wrong with the sandisk clip. |
 | Jason Bain(Date Added: Tuesday 30 August, 2011) I purchased the Sansa Clip+ 4GB MP3 Player for my mother as a birthday present. I wanted something easy for her to use and that offered good value for money. I did look at the iPod Nano but felt the added complication (and cost) of using iTunes wasn't worthwhile for the intended use. I have been impressed so far! |
