The JayBird design team threw their talents in the limelight when they created the patent pending JayBird charging design, eliminating the typical USB charging point which uses up valuable internal real estate and exposes electronic devices to sweat and water. The JayBird uses a small flat metal charging material on the inside surface of the right ear piece, which when sliding the headset into the custom slot on the charging dock connects the headset to the power supply, charging the water-tight JayBird. The JayBird charger dock also charges the JayBird Bluetooth Adapter for MP3 and garages the JayBird Bluetooth Adapter for iPod (no charging required), to provide a complete charging and storage system.
